An experienced acupuncturist can identify the root causes of facial aging. Wrinkles are supposedly caused by specific muscular movements, and can also be linked to imbalances elsewhere in the body. The acupuncturist will place needles into areas that lead to the formation of wrinkles in the face.

Procedure cost

The cost of an acupuncture session is low compared to a cosmetic surgery. Usually a visit is no more than a hundred dollars. However, since you'll need to visit several times a week for a few months, the total prices can soar out of control and even surpass that of a cosmetic surgery.

These treatments are brief, but require visits several times a week. The entire treatment can go on like this for up to two months, depending on the specific patient's needs. Older patients with more signs of aging, for instance, will require more treatments over time to correct. Improvements are gradual and increase with each treatment.

Though the scientific validity of acupuncture is still under debate, with many medical professionals claiming that it is more like holistic medicine, the usefulness of acupuncture face lifts is uncertain. However, given that so many people have done it and been left satisfied, it's clear that acupuncture face lifts are here to stay.
