Botox Alternatives

It seems that these days everybody has their own opinion about Botox treatments. Some folks say that they are scared because they are not comfortable injecting toxins inches away from their brain.

Others do not like the fact that your face can almost be stuck in one position for several months. And others still, who swear by the treatment, simply aren't satisfied because it doesn't last long enough.

There is no denying that Botox works, it's just that different people have different expectation for the treatment, and they can sometimes be let down. This is why many people who have been using Botox have begun to seek out alternatives to Botox treatments. There are many options for such people.

Alternatives to Botox

  • Face Lift
  • Laser Resurfacing
  • Brow Lift
  • Collagen Injections
  • Chemical Peels

For Permanence:

Before there was Botox there was the face-lift. We all know what is involved here. The plastic surgeon will, surgically pull and tighten your skin so in effect, it looks like you have a had Botox, but the results last for much longer.

Often this procedure is combined with laser re-surfacing to obliterate any remaining blemishes that are tarnishing the youthful look you hope to achieve.

As well, as the face-lift, there is also the brow lift. The principal is essentially the same, on the procedure is done on the forehead and brow. While not permanent, it does last substantially longer than a Botox injection.

Other Injections:

Like the face lift and the brow lift, collagen injections have been around for a while longer than Botox and they have made many customers happy with the results. Essentially, collagen is injected into the face where there are many wrinkles, thus lifting the skin and smoothing out undesirable wrinkles.

While this treatment is not permanent, it does last longer than a Botox treatment and it does not involve the use of harsh toxins.

Collagen injections are also used in conjunction with laser re-surfacing, and chemical peels to achieve that smoother, younger look.

Of course, chemical peels and laser re-surfacing are good options on their own, but they rarely produce that radical results that most folks are after when they decide to enhance their beauty.
