Eye Lift Procedure

As you start to get a little older (it happens to everyone) you have probably noticed that your eyes are starting to look a little different. While your may feel great you eyes look droopy, and saggy.

This could have an effect on the way people treat you, and in turn the way that you see yourself. If you look old, people will treat you as if you are old and in turn you'll probably start to feel old.

You can stop this unfortunate cycle, by having a simple eye lift. The procedure which can correct your upper and lower eye will take years off of the look of your face and send those lines and wrinkles packing.

But before you make this important decision you should know some simple facts that will improve your chances of satisfaction and give you goals that are achievable.

Procedure Length

The first thing you should do once you have decided to have the eye lift procedure is to find out how long it will take, thus giving you an idea of how much time you should take off work.

In general the eye lift procedure will take about 2-4 hours to complete, with another hour set aside for pre and post operation routines.

Once you have left the hospital you should expect to stay away from work for bout 1-2 weeks. This could cut into your vacation time. After this you should avoid strenuous activities for several weeks, 2-3 is probably best.

No Makeup

You should also not wear any make up for about 1-2 weeks, but since you don't have to go to work, this shouldn't be a problem.

Anesthesia

While eye lift surgery is a simple procedure you will still be put under with a general anesthetic. The most common one used in the business today is an I.V. sedation that will put you completely under.

In or Out Patient

Finally, the decision to stay in the hospital over night is usually up to you if there are no complications, but this will cost you more money, as hospital beds aren't free.
