Face Lift Tape
Face Lift Tape
Let's face it. The older you get, the older you're going to look. That's because gravity pulls downwards on you throughout your entire life. Eventually, something's got to give, and that 'something' is your facial skin and muscles. As your skin gets loose and inelastic with age, you are more vulnerable to wrinkles, furrows, and saggy skin. All of these won't win you points in beauty category. In fact, they can have a negative impact on our confidence levels and the way you interact with friends and family. The last thing you need is to be self-conscious about your face as you deal with daily life.
For most people, a face lift of some sort is the obvious answer. But which kind? Some people just don't want to deal with a surgical procedure with scalpels, incisions, anesthetics, and a long recovery. Plastic surgery is also expensive and time-consuming. A crop of non-surgical face lifts has opened up the market of late, giving consumers another choice. The latest entry into the world of alternative face lifts is the instant face lift.
An instant face lift can be achieved either with physical attachments or creams.
-
A popular infomercial-type instant face lift is the face lift tape. These tape products supposedly give you a face lift instantly and painlessly. But the truth is a bit different. Adhesive pads must be placed along the hairline, and these pads are hooked with elastic to an anchor hidden at the back of the head. The idea is to manually pull back the skin with these elastics and somehow hide the entire apparatus with your hair. Of course, the problem is in hiding such obvious things like adhesive pads, elastics, and anchors without someone noticing them. That's why face lift tapes are more of a gimmick than a feasible face lift product.
- Another category of instant face lift products is topical creams. These creams are exfoliants that remove dead skin layers and help moisturize deep layers of skin. Some of these creams even dry as a mask and achieve skin tightening this way.
Regardless of the product, instant face lifts are not permanent and require time and effort to maintain. One could argue that all the time getting a treatment with some lasting value could easily save any money you'd put into continual treatments.
Your best bet is to discuss your options with a certified plastic surgeon. He or she will explain what you can expect from each of the face lift procedures. For the most part, however, instant face lift products are not all that useful.
