Laser Breast Lift

Breasts will sag with gravity and age as the skin becomes progressively looser and inelastic. Some women, especially those who have had several children, can develop serious cases of ptosis (the medical term for sag) where the nipples begin to droop below the breast crease at the chest. Such a condition can be embarrassing and frustrating. Blouses can start to fit awkwardly, and more support is necessary. It's a concern that can nag at you until you decide to do something about it.

But then again, breast ptosis is not something that can be fixed with dieting or exercise. The main problem lies in the fact that the breast skin can no longer accommodate a change in shape. Weight loss and pregnancy are two conditions that can cause breast sag. Once the fat in the breast has reduced, the skin can't shrink back and you're left with breasts that sag more. Until the advent of plastic surgery, there wasn't a thing a woman could do about it.

More permanent results

Utilizing the latest in laser technology has allowed plastic surgeons to make the changes stick.

The most common procedure for breast sag is a breast lift. But the problem with a breast lift is that it only sets back the clock temporarily. For a more permanent transformation, a laser breast lift is necessary. Lasers were only a recent addition to breast lift surgery. However, they've changed the way that many surgeons do their work.

A laser breast lift refers to a traditional breast lift combined with the use of a laser. The laser is used to deliver heat energy into the breast tissue. The heat helps to contract the underlying tissue and harden it. By choosing the locations carefully, a surgeon can form a firm under-support for the breast. It's like an internal bra made of the patient's own tissue, and it gets attached to the chest wall for more permanent results.

The laser advantage

Compared to a traditional breast lift, the laser breast lift doesn't take much additional time and adds no complications. The only thing it does do is make a breast lift more permanent. There are extra costs associated with a laser breast lift, though. The patient must pay a portion of the plastic surgeon's training and equipment costs related to the laser.

The peace of mind that comes with a breast lift that has more longevity is definitely outweighed by any extra fees. Unfortunately the laser breast lift is not performed by every plastic surgeon so you'll have to shop around for one.

Talk to a board-certified plastic surgeon today for a laser breast lift referral. You could replace that droop with some youthful bounce and get back on track with the things that you love.
