Baytown Plastic Surgery

Formerly known separately as Goose Creek and Pelly, the city of Baytown lies where the San Jacinto River opens into the Gulf Coast, on the northern shore of Galveston Bay.

Baytown is part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area in the US state of Texas. Recent estimates place the city's population to be at 68,370, making it the fourth-largest city within the metropolitan area.

Business is doing fine in Baytown, oil being an economic mainstay since its discovery in 1916. At present, Baytown tolerates a prosperous industrial community representing major corporations such as ExxonMobil Baytown Refinery, ExxonMobil Chemical, Bayer, Amoco, Chevron Phillips and more. Sales in retail have progressively made gains, consistently hovering at $600 million annually.

With the demands of a cosmopolitan lifestyle slowly creeping in, many of Baytown residents may discern their destinies to lie in an aesthetically pleasing exterior.  Plastic surgery of legs, thighs and hips are just part and parcel of these aims, as well as Botox® Cosmetics, breast augmentation, liposuction and rhinoplasty Baytown plastic surgery clinics have to offer.

Historical attractions not related to cosmetic surgery in Baytown

Nathaniel Lynch is credited for the first settlement around Baytown, which surfaced in 1822. He also set up a lasting ferry crossing at the confluence of the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou. Three towns emerged in this area – Goose Creek, Pelly and East Baytown - but they were eventually consolidated into Baytown 1947. Baytown’s official foundation was on January 24, 1948.

The famous battle for Texas’ independence was fought on the present location of the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site. The Battleground has garnered National Historic Landmark status. The Texas Parks and Wildlife made the site into a 1,200-acre complex, boasting among others, the Battleship TEXAS, which holds the distinction of being the first battleship memorial museum in the US.

Otherwise, tourists in Baytown may check out Houston Raceway Park, an NHRA-sanctioned, 440-acre drag racing complex. Baytown Nature Center and Evergreen Point Golf Course make for great outdoor getaways.

The Oil Industry

In 1908, the community discovered the area’s rich oil deposits beside Tabbs Bay. In no time, the Goose Creek oil field became the second offshore drilling operation in the nation, the first of its kind in the state. That was in 1916 but the first refinery was not built until 1919, with credit to the Humble Oil & Refining Company. This particular refinery ranked one of the largest in the world so much so that it wielded clout not only in Baytown’s economy, but also in World War II. This refinery alone supplied more than one billion gallons of aviation fuel during WWII, plus almost half of the total butyl rubber production in the United States in 1945.
