Your Skin
With all of the features on our body that we would like to tinker with and change, the skin is probably the most important, although it is often hard to see it that way.
Skin doesn't automatically jump out at you as something that is going to affect the way people see you. Skin is more like the background music in a shopping mall or an elevator. Few people notice it unless it is really bad or it is distracting.
So if you do have 'distracting' skin you probably want to change that and at least make your skin something that people won't notice, and if they do notice it, they'll notice it for the right reasons.
There are many different treatments you can use on your skin to give you the look that you want, and many of them are as old as civilization, others are relatively new. But all of them, working in unison to give you that radiant glow and healthy veneer you want to project.
Taking Care of your Skin
Firstly, moisturizing and washing should be at the top of your list. You cannot have great skin without these two things. Washing keeps bacteria off of your face and thus prevents any small infections that may harm your skin.
The moisturizer on the other hand will help you retain the life giving water that makes up so much of our body and that will keep your skin growing and alive. It also keeps your skin looking smooth after shaving. Your skin is the gateway to your soul and when your skin is damaged so is your soul!
This may be overstating it a little bit but if you do have bad skin it can feel like that sometimes.
Besides the usual non-radical treatments there are new techniques that have recently been developed that are guaranteed to make your skin look younger and healthier. These are Botox injections and Dermabrasion.
Both are radical and both guarantee results. The Botox treatment is an injection that is targeted at sagging and wrinkled areas, thus targeting the problem and smoothing the skin and making you look younger and healthier.
The Dermabrasion treatment is a bit more like a power sander for your face. The micro bristles scrub away the layer of skin that comes into contact with all of the day's harsh elements and sends them packing. The result is a new layer of virgin skin that is smooth and taut.
